Weapons are one of the most magnificent, yet terrifying creations of mankind. Just in the United States, “About 100 people die every day as a result of a gunshot,” says Jeffrey Swanson, a professor of psychiatry and behavioral science at Duke University School of Medicine in North Carolina. “If you take away the guns, lots and lots of those lives will be saved.”(1). But it won’t be all good, there are reasons why weapons are created, and why is not a good thing if there are no weapons in the world. I have three reasons for this and one additional paragraph specifically focuses on nuclear weapons.
